Verdict

Last time out winner Dubara Reef suffers a hike in the weights for his previous win at Redcar whilst Dubawi King who was third in that race holds claims but our preference is for runner-up in that contest, ESCAPE ARTIST who was only a quarter of a length behind the winner then. The selection was just a quarter-of-a-length behind Dubara Reef and with the turnaround in the weightings it is not unreasonable to assume he can reverse the result. Dubara Reef won by a neck that day but a third at this track only a month ago means Paul Green's gelding holds real claims of making it two wins on the bounce. Dubawi King has been improving and a further development here is not ruled out. Miss Wendy makes her handicap bow and does not look an exciting prospect running off top weight whilst Captain John Nixon makes the step up to a more realistic trip given his pedigree. We side with Escape Artist to grab the win here.
