        Verdict

        Two previous winners of this contest take part, but Commander Wish is not the force of old and Greek Secret remains 2lb higher than when last winning over a year ago. Meandmyshadow has won twice over C&D and has claims, though both wins came in plating company, while Port Ronan could also figure having finished runner-up here three weeks ago. BRAVE BATTLE's only win came on the Polytrack, but he went close when runner-up off today's mark at Ayr last time, and Dandy Nicholl's charge gets the nod to go one better.
