Verdict

Roy Bowring had little option but to bring DIVERTIMENTI out quickly after his demolition job at Nottingham on Friday as he escapes a penalty for landing an apprentice handicap. Adam McLean rides him again and it's impossible to oppose his mount on these terms. Local trainer Ian McInnes gets plenty of winners here and Ingleby Star should be kept on the right side as he's on the same mark as when successful here in September. Big Wave was in very good form last summer and looked on the way back at Doncaster last time so she can provide the main threat as Ingenti hasn't run since September and has shot up the weights following her success on soft ground at Catterick.
