Verdict

City Ground reverted to type when well beaten in one of these events last time having won on the Polytrack under today's amateur before that. Stablemate HERNANDO TORRES is preferred as he's been getting steadily closer under the guidance of Anna Hesketh and looks capable of going one better after a recent second at Nottingham. Cabal and Valentine's Gift are others to consider but Meglio Ancora looks a bigger threat after a narrow-margin defeat at Ayr. Spanish Plume has a chance on form but is not certain to appreciate the return to a shorter trip.
