In depth

Verdict

WENSLEY made all and stayed on strongly on soft ground at Pontefract after a narrow defeat on fast ground here. He looks the type to go on to better things so gets the vote despite conceding 7lb to Weeton. He made a very promising start at Carlisle and was heavily supported to go one better on a return visit but finished last and has changed stables. Kyllachy Dragon was a 66/1 chance at Thirsk but stayed on nicely once getting the hang of the job and this stiffer track should be ideal while Ghost also showed some potential on the same track. Richard Fahey's newcomer Equitant is very speedily-bred and one to note in the market.
