In depth

Verdict

Scotty's Future, Soviet Joy and Legal Lover are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Scotty's Future. The selection is not as good as he once was and he was disappointing when last seen out at Southwell when third behind Champion Lion on heavy ground. However, the return to this faster surface will suit and in this grade he should take plenty of stopping. Soviet Joy rates the main danger as he finished ahead of our selection last time out and he is lightly-raced, but he was allowed a soft lead that day and that form may not be all that reliable. Legal Lover has had a busy winter campaign on the all-weather and he did win at Southwell last time. However, he is not the most consistent and he has never won on the turf so he is passed over today for those reasons. Senor Mac is an interesting newcomer from the Brian Meehan yard and he is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we will return to Scotty's Future.
