Verdict

Richard Fahey's Changing The Guard is now looking well treated again but after a comfortable victory last time we side with TAARESH while Submariner is interesting off a workable mark. Racing off bottom weight the pick was staying on well when scoring over a furlong shorter last time. He's won over this far before and his mark rise looks more than fair. Changing The Guard is now only 1lb heavier in the handicap than when last in front. This represents a step down in class and he was solid on his reappearance. Submariner was a winner on debut before being weighted out of a challenge on his handicap bow but with pounds removed from his back he'll be a lot closer. King Fingal is a course-and-distance winner who ran well in defeat from a comparable weight last time and should give his running again while Thunderstruck is consistent in the main and only found one too good from this rating last time out.
