Verdict

A competitive selling handicap unusually opens proceedings with SECRET INTERLUDE taken to make the most of her drop into selling company for the first time on the back of a competent effort in handicap company at Bath. Lucy Barry was in the plate that day and her 5lb claim will come in useful once again. Fellow three-year-old Strictly Carter is another to dip his toes into selling waters for the first time and, despite retaining maiden status after 15 starts, has shown more than enough to play a prominent role in this lower grade. Cooperess, another three-year-old, has claims on the best of her form and handled her first experience of the track well enough when third here last month. Time Medicean and Generalyse appeal most of the older brigade in a difficult opener.
