Verdict

Just six runners here but four are course and distance winners. They include Hipz, successful here in June and also a winner on soft going, and PERFECT PASTIME, who comes alive when visiting the track. The latter just gets the nod from Diatomic, who looks a few pounds high after his victory at Wolverhampton last month. Piazza San Pietro has a superb record on the track but almost all of his 10 career victories have come on very fast going. Noverre To Go is another who likes it around here and his last success came on soft ground from tonight's mark and though Secret Millionaire has never won on the track nor over the trip he's run well on several occasions and can't be dismissed.
