In depth

Verdict

Bridgewater Boys is consistent and whilst he edges up the weights, he is still well-handicapped on old form and he is selected to repel the challenges of Granary Girl and Hester Brook. Formerly with Kevin Ryan, the selection has earned two lots of place money in two starts for Gary Moore. That should have paid his way and at his trainer's local track the six-year-old should win, and he should have further success if he does indeed change stables. Mr Napolean has claims on the pick of his form but he will need to bounce back from a below-par recent effort, whilst the same applies to Megalala who has won here before. Guadiana has won at Bath before so may be suited by this track, whilst Yenaled has done his various stables proud in his long career but appears to be coming towards the end of his tether. Hester Brook was given too much to do last time out at Leicester and may benefit from a more positive ride, however Bridgewater Boys should still have the pace for this trip and he is given the nomination.
