      Verdict

MING MENG went close on her handicap debut over 6f last time and a 1lb drop coupled with the step up in trip make her an attractive proposition to go one better today. She does have to prove herself on the ground, but then there are a few of them who may ideally want it slower than this. One of them is dual Epsom winner Starwatch, who has handled this track well enough when tried here before and has shown his best with cut, though he does handle good to firm. The trip is another concern for him. Rockabilly Rebel is weighted to be competitive, though winning may prove tricky, while Cat Hunter has conditions and trip to suit and looks a threat from a mark 3lbs higher than when runner-up at Epsom.
