Mick Easterby's charge Gastornis gets the nod ahead of Rayshan and Jimmy Bond. Third on his reappearance run at Huntingdon, the nine-year-old should be suited by this drop in trip and as he is effective on varying ground conditions, what the weather does should not hinder. First Looks is interesting given that he should be fit from a run on the flat however he would prefer some more juice in the ground. Master Sebastian is another who may need a drop of rain, whilst Lofty Leader is fairly consistent and has winning form at the track. Morgan Be's best runs have come on desperate ground and he is yet to win away from Ayr, whilst Canada Street is a bit hit and miss but may improve this season. Ice Melted, with the 'Champ' aboard, must be respected having run well on his reappearance however he does tend to race keenly and on this testing track, there may not too much petrol left in the tank in the closing stages. Rayshan's form looks rock solid and having run well fresh in the past he must have a really solid chance. An open race, and narrow preference is for Gastornis.
