Verdict

With on fire conditional jock Frederik Tylicki taking weight off HANSOMIS Bruce Mactaggart's charge looks to have a good chance of landing a two timer ahead of Asserting while outside these two it's wide open for the places with Optical Illusion just fancied above the rest in a poor handicap sprint. The pick was successful last time out on his first attempt over course and distance in similar company. His mark was raised by four pounds for that success but the jockey booking negates that so he should be able to run another big race. Asserting was also a last time out winner over distance at Ayr. His rating is also up four pounds but he is unexposed enough to improve. Optical Illusion was a beaten favourite on his last start and despite being put up a pound by the handicapper is still below his last winning mark so he is respected. It really is wide open beyond the leading protagonists and Hansomis looks best of the lot.
