In depth

Verdict

Proud Times has much the best form of these over hurdles with his second over C&D last month giving him solid claims today. However, hurdling debutant MOUNTAIN HIKER is rated 11lb higher than the latter on the Flat and Donald McCain's charge is taken to make a make a winning start over timber. Stablemate Nowurhurlin has shown nothing so far and neither has Cavite Eta, while hurdling newcomers Christmas Carnival, Dynamic Drive and Ejteyaaz are all of similar ability on the level.
