Goring hasn't run over this trip for nearly a year but is effective over a mile and his yard continues in fine form - he should go well. CARNAGEO was withdrawn from a Ripon race last week and is the choice as he retains scope for improvement and looks fairly weighted. Richard Fahey applies first-time blinkers to the gelding who'll be suited by trip and ground. Intensical is of interest off the bottom perch after his recent Doncaster success while Dark Devil, a stablemate of the selection, could figure after a couple of runs on arguably unsuitable ground. Pensax Boy and Georgian Boy were first and third here last and a case can be argued for that pair along with Worlds His Oyster in a first-time visor.
