Verdict

Rupert Bear seems sure to go well, especially having struck up a fine rapport with his amateur pilot whose 7lb claim will certainly aid the topweight's cause. The sole course and distance winner in the line-up, he is only narrowly passed over with preference for MOJOLIKA, who still receives weight from the aforementioned even allowing for that 7lb allowance. Tim Easterby's charge returned from an absence of over six months last time to post a really good effort when runner-up in a decent Doncaster novice handicap hurdle. With only five runs over timber to date, there should be more to come and a first hurdling success can come his way now. Bonnie Burnett is a consistent mare for Brian Rothwell and was still travelling well enough when coming to grief at Southwell last time. She has solid each-way claims.
