Verdict

This should really be a match between Thumbs Up and MUTUAL FRIEND, with the latter getting the vote, while Springfield Raki looks next best. The selection was throughly professional when an easy Wetherby scorer last time out, breaking his chasing duck. He carries a penalty for that here but conditions and trip are certain to suit him and his experience can stand him in good stead. Thumbs Up was rated in the same class as our pick over hurdles and makes his chasing debut today. He would ideally like a bit of ease in the ground, but is sure to be well prepared and in receipt of weight is much respected. Springfield Raki was not in the same class as that pair over the smaller obstacles but he acts on the ground and if there is pace to the race then his stamina will be a useful tool. Watch Out has plenty to find and Mutual Friend can go in again.
