    Verdict

Painted Sky produced a much-improved effort to edge out Winter Alchemy over 3m2f here on Thursday with SNAKE CHARMER back in fourth. But Martin Keighley's stayer has every chance of reversing the form on today's more favourable terms and would have won at Newton Abbot earlier this month had he not stumbled and fallen after jumping the last. Knight Valliant may be too high in the weights now but Scotswell is in good form, though was an early faller when Rare Coincidence won over C&D in June. Patriot won at Wetherby in May but has shown little since.
