      Verdict

A very competitive renewal which sees Goldan Jess bidding to follow up last year's success off a 6lb higher mark. Ennistown was keeping on when third over a shorter trip at Newton Abbot and should be approaching peak fitness. Dubh Eile and Young Dillon were first and third at Southwell recently but the handicapper may have caught up again with Bourne and Rolling Maul has never won off a mark this high. MR SHANTU has twice finished behind Rolling Maul this summer but beat a subsequent winner over fences on his latest start at Worcester and can come out on top today over this marathon trip.
