Richard Fahey's stable has not been in particularly good form of late but his representative here DARCEY has been running well having won his last two starts in sellers and he may be worth chancing to complete a hat-trick in a claimer today, getting the vote ahead of Nchike and Versaki. The Ian Williams-trained gelding has faced a stiff task against the handicapper following a maiden race success as a juvenile at Goodwood and it is no surprise to see him being dropped in grade. Tom Tate's Captain Imperial ran better in a Thirsk handicap last time and has solid claims being dropped in grade today. He makes more appeal than Africa's Star, who has seemingly lost his way of late. Stable companion Ask Dan has been running more consistently and could be of interest but a bigger threat is likely to come from Nchike. Richard Guest's gelding was slightly disappointing in an Ayr handicap last time but has claims on earlier form in this grade and any market support for him would be of interest but Darcey has solid claims in this grade and he gets the vote.
