In depth

Verdict

QUETZAL narrowly held off Amroth Bay in a similar race at Doncaster in January and is surprisingly better off at the weights. He'd also won twice earlier in the season and should have come on enough for his recent reappearance to get back on the winning trail. Nodform Richard, a winning bumper and hurdler, didn't show much on his chasing debut at Newcastle last month but will have needed the experience and it will be a surprise if he doesn't do much better. Kent Street jumped much better at Carlisle last time while Lockstown has won four times over fences and his experience should stand him in good stead in tough conditions.
