Verdict

Emeralds Spirit beat Monday's winner Horatio Carter at Thirsk last month and went to Ayr on Sunday with a favourite's chance but couldn't quite hang on after making the running. She may now be a few pounds high so this can go to DREAM WALKER. Ian McInnes' grey gained an emphatic victory on heavy ground over 6f at Yarmouth in May and though a beaten favourite in his last three runs he hasn't been performing badly and came up against an in-form rival at Doncaster last time. Isle Of Ellis is still a maiden after 23 starts but came close in a Redcar maiden last time and can't go much lower in the weights. Thrust Control has won five times in his career but never on soft ground and he was beaten in a seller last time while Grand Stitch has only won on the all-weather and never beyond the minimum trip.
