In depth

Verdict

Teenage Idol wasn't winning out of turn at Ayr earlier this month, while Shadows Lengthen should confirm Doncaster running with Cygnet despite a 4lb higher mark. Mick Easterby's six-year-old has already won over C&D as have Knight Valliant and the lightly-weighted Amir Pasha. Micky Hammond, responsible for the latter, also saddles DANCEINTOTHELIGHT, however, and it's Joe Colliver's mount that gets a tentative vote. The grey was beaten when falling over further at Musselburgh last time but an earlier effort over 2m4f at the Scottish course was a very sound effort and he's a couple of pounds lower now. He also holds a course verdict over Shadows Lengthen from last season. Distime has scope for further improvement but Allow Me, Shifting Gold and Whisky Magic appear to have plenty to find at the weights.
