In depth

Verdict

Humourous has solid claims on the evidence of his latest start at Musselburgh but that was on good ground and Brian Storey's five-year-old is far from certain to appreciate the underfoot conditions here so preference is for Dolans Bay, who gets the vote ahead of Cool Cossack. The last mentioned is a consistent performer and should again be thereabouts but he may have to settle for a minor role. Tastes Like More is hard to weigh up on his first start in this grade and could be anything but is hard to recommend on all known form, while Presenting Alf is not certain to stay this far. The vote then goes to the lightly raced Dolans Bay, who clearly handles plenty of cut in the ground and remains open to plenty of improvement.
