Verdict

County Kildare trainer Reginald Roberts doesn't have many runners but places them to great effect so the presence of GENERAL DIRECTION, who produced a very good run behind the well-regarded Francis Of Assissi at Naas last week, suggests the speedily-bred colt is ready to take this. Marcus Caesar was beaten 8l in a four-runner race at Hamilton and though he should improve it's Brooke's Bounty and Rangooned who are more likely to offer threats, particularly the former, who showed plenty of potential when runner-up to the experienced Red Cobra at Ayr.
