In depth

Verdict

Espresso Freddo is upped 4lb for winning over track and trip but Poet's Society drops down a grade after going close at Wolverhampton and is back on a winning mark. Varsovian was narrowly beaten over today’s distance at Lingfield recently but Treaty Of Rome has done his winning so far over shorter trips. Call Out Loud ran well for third at Kempton last week behind Lucymai and THE COMMENDATORE finished behind the same horse earlier on his first start since October. David Barron’s charge may well improve enough to land an open contest and gets a tentative vote.
