Verdict

Quantitativeeasing finished runner-up to Divers at The Festival in March and filled the same spot behind Great Endeavour in last month's Paddy Power when Divers was a close-up third. Nicky Henderson's six-year-old looks best off at the weights of that trio in this and shouldn't be far away but it's significant that AP McCoy is riding near his minimum to partner the same owner's SUNNYHILLBOY. Behind Great Endeavour when third in this 12 months ago, Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is much better off at the weights now and connections have been careful to protect his handicap mark this season though he did run well over hurdles at Haydock last month. Paul Nicholls has saddled Poquelin to win this for the last two years and has decent claims again with the lightly-raced Ghizao, who can reverse Exeter running with Medermit over this longer trip. But it's difficult to make a case for Irish raiders Roberto Goldback and Finger Onthe Pulse while Roudoudou Ville needs to step up again from his Sandown win. Great Endeavour's trainer David Pipe has four runners in this and Salut Flo is potentially the most interesting as he looked a smart prospect at the beginning of last year. Despite returning from an absence, there's a chance the six-year-old is still ahead of the handicapper and he could run well at big odds under talented claimer Conor O'Farrell.
