Verdict

Willie Mullins, bidding for a ninth win in this Grade 1 bumper, has just the two runners this year but CARTER MCKAY (NAP) looks the one to beat ahead of Next Destination. Having beaten subsequent Leopardstown winner Bakmaj on his debut under Rules, the grey never gave supporters a moment’s worry when accounting for West Coast Time at Naas and a roar will go up from the stands if he travels as strongly into the straight here. Someday still showed signs of inexperience when scoring at Leopardstown last month and may need more time. It’s rare for a mare to win this but Gordon Elliott’s Fayonagh is improving fast and course and distance winner Irish Roe should give the Peter Atkinson team a good day out. Robin The Raven should make a decent hurdler but Warwick scorer Cause Toujours may prove the pick of the home team.
