In depth

Verdict

SANGFROID looks the most interesting in the race and is given the vote to land it at the expense of Brave Bugsy and Act Three. The selection has been competing over the obstacles during the winter months and has had some fine placed efforts to his name. His last run on the level was over two years ago. He only proved moderate while in the hands of Sir Mark Prescott but as he had matured his jumps form has improved and if anywhere near his best he ought to go close. Brave Bugsy has not been seen since August last year. He managed to win an little handicap at Bath in July and he has to be respected on his return off only a three pound higher mark. Act Three caught the eye after finishing second at Folkestone on her seasonal reappearance and with further improvement to come she warrants respect. Sangfroid comes from a yard that have an art of getting there horses in the right frame of mind for the day and with that in mind he is worth staying on the right side of.
