Verdict

OSCARGO will almost certainly start at restrictive odds for this but can't be realistically opposed. He would have got closer to useful stayer Benheir at Fontwell in November had he not tried to take the final fences by the roots. Barring accidents, Western King looks booked for second spot as he may have needed the experience when well beaten on his chasing bow at Folkestone in December. It's difficult to make a case for the other pair, even in this small field.
