    Verdict

Redeye Special is open to more improvement and can pay to follow over Indian Edge, Hadath, and Tuning Fork to name but a few. Redeye Special appeared to be given too much to do when beaten a whisker by Indian Edge at Kempton a fortnight ago, as she was held up off the pace while her conqueror was allowed to stride on throughout. Michael Bell's filly was pulled wide and in the end went down by a short-head and a head in third. She is now 2lb better off with Indian Edge, and that should be enough to sway things her way. Hadath, without a win in four years, caught the eye big style when coming from the back to finish a close second at Brighton last time, but that was in selling company so we should not get too enthusiastic about his chances. Tuning Fork also found one too good when second at Warwick on what was his first outing for his current yard. Contented has the odd place or two to his name as well, and any support for Glory Be would be interesting. Given that there may be more to come with Redeye Special, we take her to make amends.
