Peter Hiatt's Sirdave could be of interest despite the burden of 9st 10lb being lightly raced and making his handicap debut but it is hard to oppose Tony Carroll's VERTUEUX, who looks to have been found a winning opportunity and he gets the vote ahead of Urban Space. The last mentioned showed improved form here nine days ago over two furlongs shorter when a head behind Corrib and he has to be respected over a trip that does suit. Richard Lee's Garafena made an encouraging return to the flat after a spell hurdling when fourth behind Dazzling Begum at Warwick earlier this month and has every chance if able to build on that effort. Karen George's Prickles would not be far away if running up to the form shown when placed in races at Wolverhampton and Lingfield and he may not have seen out the trip at Kempton last time so he looks one of the main dangers to, Vertueux. Tony Carroll's gelding, a winner over hurdles at Ludlow in May, ran well when second here over two miles last month and he looks the one to beat.
