    Verdict

Not a lot to this contest where the three to concentrate on look to be Mazzola, Timeteam and Night Seed, and the vote goes to the latter. The other pair have more racecourse experience than the selection, but neither look likely to be suited by the soft ground, whereas the pedigree of Night Seed, whose sire won on good to soft and who has Sadler's Wells on her dam's side, suggests that she should handle it. Admittedly, her debut run was nothing special, but the Hannon yard continues to turn out winners and she can hopefully improve a fair bit for us. Mazzola has already won over 6f at Brighton, and apart from concerns over the ground, his speed over this shorter trip is a bit questionable, so we'll take him on. Timeteam has shown a bit more zip in running second in two maidens just lately and he is respected, but there is a question as to how much more he can improve. It would be a surprise if either of the other pair were good enough and we'll chance Night Seed here.
