Verdict

Callerlilly and Cashel Blue could both bounce back to form at a track they like, however BATTLE STATIONS has the form to win this if fit enough and he is preferred to Colline De Fleurs and Lord Crewe. Richard Ford's gelding has been off the track for over a year however his novice form from 2008 reads well. This trip should be within his range and off a mark of 105 he should run a big race. Apocal tries the blinkers in a bid to gain an elusive first UK win, Deep Pockets has a very patchy record, whilst Colline De Fleurs ran well behind Tara Taylor at Ffos Las in February and looks well-treated at the moment on a mark of 103. Lord Crewe has been holding his form well since winning in January but as a result he is edging up the weights, so of more interest may be Drumbeater who should come on for his last start and is a course and distance winner. Osokenda remains capable of better now on this better ground, Barrys Ark is interesting back over hurdles, whilst Very Cool needs more help from the handicapper. Forzy Origny contested some good races over in France and the handicapper has certainly eased his burden considerably. He looks a big danger here, but we will tentatively side with Battle Stations.
