Verdict

Solemn has won 10 times but all of them came over the minimum trip and he went close over 5f here last time. Dream Catcher hasn't won since 2012 and remains in the handicapper's grip but PETTOCHSIDE can race off a lower mark on Turf. The latter drops down a grade after a third at Bath and gets the nod in this distinctly modest company. Ostralegus may figure back down in distance after a second at Doncaster but Thorpe Bay has done all his winning so far at Southwell. Catalinas Diamond scored on Turf for the first time when landing an apprentices' race at Windsor last week and should be thereabouts off the same mark.
