Verdict

Falcons Fall won a novices' handicap here in March and was tackling much better company on very heavy going when reappearing at Ayr. Big Meadow has been beaten at short-prices in all six starts since winning a bumper here in February of last year while Waterloo Warrior has never won though ran well in a slightly better race here last time. ALFIE'S CHOICE looks to be getting his act together and was conceding the winner 19lb when beaten a couple of lengths at Wetherby. He could have done without a 7lb rise but can go one better though Fille Des Champs ran very well on her last start at Uttoxeter in May and would be a threat if ready. Dandy Duke hasn't been seen since easily landing a novices' handicap at Huntingdon in January of last year.
