Verdict

It's a long time GO AMWELL tasted success on the level but John Jenkins' stayer has plenty in his favour here, not least a very lenient handicap mark. Good to soft going will also hold no fears for the eight-year-old, who was second in a very competitive handicap hurdle on similar ground at Newbury in February - he gets a tentative vote. Orbital Orchid was third over C&D in June and is only a pound higher today. He should be thereabouts again, while the three-year-old Mina's Boy has improved since being given a test of stamina, scoring at Beverley and Yarmouth in his last two starts. The handicapper is struggling to get to grips with Ed Dunlop's gelding and he makes more appeal than Nottingham runner-up Sea The Flames and the disappointing Band Of Thunder. Blazing Buck had several of these behind when landing a C&D victory last month and is the pick of the remainder.
