Verdict

With the weights compacted in this, the 5lb Charlie Wallis claims off SPINNING WATERS could be crucial. Dai Burchell's five-year-old is becoming something of a Chepstow specialist having won twice over 2m here on the Flat since scoring over C&D in March and he may be a step ahead of the handicapper. Taste The Wine's amateur jockey reduces his burden by 7lb and he's another for the short-list having also been in good form on the level. Swift Chap is unexposed but ran poorly at Wincanton last time, while Posh Emily may need the run and Beau Fighter is proving difficult to win with. Super Collider and Realisation may be best of the rest, though market support for Calico Rose would be significant.
