In depth

Verdict

Hot 'n' Holy gets the call here ahead of Baron Romeo and Goscar Rock. Just beaten on his racecourse debut, the 150,000 guineas purchase Hot 'n' Holy has to be one for your shortlist here. Winning Irish pointer Baron Romeo won well enough in a steadily-run affair at Uttoxeter on his debut and, given that he idled in front there, should have better to come. Bring Me Sunshine's form in two runs to date is reasonable, while the well-bred Goscar Rock cost 45,000 euros and is of obvious interest from a very good yard. Finally, Top Ram showed plenty of promise on his Warwick debut, and is another to consider. The winner seems likely to come from one of those mentioned, with our choice being Hot 'n' Holy.
