Verdict

Richard Fahey won this a year ago with Mickdaam and Gabrial's Kaka takes his chance but he'll need to do better than his run at Epsom last month against this small-but-select field, though does have the beating of Mister Impatience on that run. Feel LIke Dancing came with strong run to gain a debut success in a Newbury maiden and John Gosden's Derby entry is certain to improve while Havana Beat, though unable to cope with the tough Windhoek in the Tattersalls Millions, should definitely improve for the run. Aidan O'Brien has won this three times in recent years and the unexposed RULER OF THE WORLD, who has attracted some support for the Derby in recent weeks, can give him another victory as he's certain to have gained great benefit from his Curragh maiden success and is well regarded at Ballydoyle.
