Verdict

Abseil is certain to come in for support after an impressive maiden success at Yarmouth and he looks capable of much better, though he's drawn 13 which just tempers enthusiasm. Pintura is a class act and won this in 2012. He wouldn't want the ground to dry out but on the forecast going must have a fine chance of a repeat. Cappo Rosso could hardly have won any more easily when completing a Wolverhampton double though he's another with a high draw to contend with. Big Johnny D would have an outstanding chance on last summer's form but he was soon done with when strongly fancied on his reappearance. Here Comes When won a handicap at this meeting a year ago and took on stronger company in his two subsequent starts, though he has a long absence to overcome. Balty Boys was well beaten in this a year ago but ran very well at Haydock last time but it's his stablemate PACIFIC HEIGHTS, three times a winner last term when he continued to improve, who is handed the vote.
