Aidan O'Brien has won the last two and is double-handed this time. Century looked a nice prospect when landing his maiden at the Curragh but was all at sea in the soft ground in the Racing Post Trophy and finished tailed off. Joseph deserts him here for Kingfisher, who was highly tried after landing a Killarney maiden but hasn't really impressed. Somewhat was only narrowly beaten in the Royal Lodge but was expected to run better than he did in the Racing Post Trophy and he wasn't exactly in top form on his return to action at Newmarket. SLOANE AVENUE is the least exposed of these having run just once in a Lingfield maiden where he came home virtually alone. He's the sixth foal of a mare who has produced all of them to win races and a chance is taken that he's improved enough to take this.
