    Verdict

A fascinating affair where it's hard to be to dogmatic but Beckermet is taken to supplement an impressive success over the course and distance and is narrowly preferred to Bigalos Bandit and Amazin. Bigalos Bandit was squeezed out in a top two-year-old race at Beverley last time but nonetheless was not beaten far by Bolton Hall. Beaten by a John Gosden hotpot at Doncaster before that he had earlier won on his debut at Redcar. Amazin landed the odds at Kempton last time but had to be ridden out to do so and wasn't particularly impressive. Paul Blockley's Oh Dara was backed as if defeat was out of the question at Catterick and obliged in fine style and could be anything but this represents a step up in class. The selection is Beckermet-he has met defeat only once in his last four starts, and that was when beaten by Roger Charlton's Pike Bishop. He clearly likes the track, and his win last time was so impressive that he gets the vote.
