Verdict

TIME TO STUDY came up against a classy stayer in the Sagaro nine days ago but still had some useful performers behind. He’d just failed to make a winning reappearance in a hot handicap at Musselburgh earlier and is due to go up a further 3lb from next week. Mark Johnston’s four-year-old may well be a group horse running in a handicap and Franny Norton can be counted on to get him into a good position from stall seven. Stargazer has been going really well on Tapeta and is equally adept on Turf. Fun Mac, Who Dares Wins, Magic Circle and Watersmeet chased home the first two last year and all warrant respect, though the draw could have been kinder to Alan King’s dual purpose performer. Grandee will have his stamina to prove while Dubawi Fifty and Cayirli may be better on the all-weather but Prince Of Arran should give a good account and Jukebox Jive and My Reward hold each-way claims. Nakeeta was second in this in 2016 but only 10th last year, though did win the Ebor. However, he has top weight and also a moderate draw.
