Verdict

Ajraam was outclassed in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot last time but is not easily dismissed on his earlier form while last year's Group 2 winner Heavy Metal showed his best form of the year when fifth at the same track on his latest start. Veeraya has every chance on his latest second at Newmarket and has the beating of Yourartisonfire and Penny Garcia on collateral form but the vote goes to CORRESPONDENT. He got the better of today's rival Rene Mathis over 7f here in June when giving the latter plenty of weight and it could prove a similar story today.
