Verdict

Masterpaver has done all of his winning on the all-weather so far but is relatively unexposed on this surface. Jazri has a shout off his current mark while Alpine Storm steps up in trip for her handicap debut and may figure. Bit it was testing ground when Empress Ali won at Ripon last time and Solo Hunter finished tailed off over 1m4f at this track on his latest start. PERSHING was also well beaten attempting a longer trip last time but went close over 1m2f at Yarmouth earlier and Marco Botti's grey gets the vote to come good in this.
