NEWS SHOW hasn't been seen since running on the Fibresand at Southwell in July but, while an absence has to be a concern, David Simcock's filly shouldn't have too much bother with staying today's trip as she was successful over a similar distance and going at Yarmouth. Daneking has been on the end of two heavy defeats in his last two starts though it would be folly to dismiss him just yet as he looked a decent prospect earlier in the year. Bold Cuffs is typical of the type of three-year-old Sir Mark Prescott goes to war with in staying handicaps although he hasn't quite progressed as anticipated. Nice Rose has had plenty of chances while Bank Bonus is still be a maiden, though he was beaten only two lengths by St Leger seventh Guarantee in a fair Newbury event and has shaped as if his turn in the winner's enclosure isn't too far away.
