In depth

Verdict

Clouded Thoughts hasn't been finding much on soft ground and may find this going too fast while Fitzcarraldo, who had shown promise in his first two starts, finished tailed off at Thurles in November. Suir View Girl and Sulki Rose have shown a little promise while Windward Lad was fancied to make a winning start to his career under Rules here last month but disappointed. In a race that shouldn't take much winning, newcomers Taal Tal, who is related to several winners on the Flat, and John Kiely's FAHA, who is out of a mare with plenty of pace in her pedigree, could overcome their lack of experience with the vote just going to the latter.
