In depth

Verdict

It's difficult to be positive about the outcome of this but THE BLARNEY ROSE should give us a good run. She's had her jumping problems and has failed to complete in three of her last seven races between the flags but has looked a very nice prospect when getting round and has won the other four. Miss Palm is on the upgrade and won her last two in good style and though it took Mrs McCluskey 17 starts to get off the mark she sauntered home at Kilworth last month. Merramax enjoyed the fast ground at Kinsale last summer and should have conditions in her favour, a remark that also applies to the inconsistent but useful on her day Gothic Love, the winner of an open point at Lingstown last month.
