Verdict

Mick Winters did very well last season and Theos Well contributed a bumper victory to his tally. He made a promising start over timber on this track before being found out on heavy going at Limerick and should be in the mix again despite never having faced quick ground. Conditions won't be a problem for MIZYEN, who was just run out of it by Manhattan Swing at Kilbeggan. Dessie Hughes' charge likes this sort of ground and may have too much pace for his jump-bred rivals. Island Villa was having his 13th start over timber when just failing to reel in Tawseef at Sligo, form that gives him an obvious chance of reaching the frame, but useful Flat performer Specific Gravity hasn't been in the best of shape on his last two starts unlike Lean And Keen, who has won twice this year.
